How Well Do Your Habits Support Your Goals?
We’re preparing for our annual Dreaming Your New Year exercise coming up in January. In the meantime, we found this TEDx video of Martin Grunburg exploring the differences between setting goals and setting habits. This is a topic we spend a bit of time on each year in the workshop and we encourage attendees to identify the habits they’ll need to reach their goals. We like Martin’s approach.

The authors trace an interesting narrative of the rise, fall, and return of human will over time (as our living conditions improved, and then we began to desire more modern, sophisticated experiences). You’ll likely get hooked as we did by the early section “Why Will Yourself to Read This Book?
